Description

Britannia Mill is a building constructed in 1861, featuring hammer-dressed stone and a triple-pitched slate roof. It stands six storeys tall and has stone brackets supporting the gutter. The mill includes 25 ranges of industrial windows, some of which retain their original glazing bars, and six ranges on the end elevations. There are also two ranges of loading doors, one of which has round-arched heads and rusticated surrounds. Above this range, there is a horizontally rusticated parapet with a coping that ramps upward in the center, featuring an inset panel inscribed "Britannia Mills. 1861."
