Description

The former toll house, now a dwelling, dates from the mid to late 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar and features a hipped slate roof with moulded brackets at the gutter. The building has a square plan and is one storey high, with a projecting five-sided bay facing the road. The central face of this bay contains a doorway with a fanlight above it. Each of the other faces has a sash window, with two additional sashes on the right elevation and one on the left. All windows are topped with ogee-shaped hood moulds. There is a recent brick addition at the rear.
