This is a triangular stone milestone located 100 yards north of the junction with Far Dean on Penistone Road in Kirkburton. It dates from the early to mid 19th century and features inscriptions in capital letters along with pointing hands. The milestone indicates distances to Huddersfield (4 miles) and Penistone (8½ miles).
