Description

Park House Farmhouse and the adjoining outbuildings date back to around 1700, with a mid-19th century farmhouse and an early 19th century barn. The original farmhouse features deeply coursed, dressed stone, while the later structures are made of hammer dressed stone. All buildings have stone slate roofs, with the original farmhouse being the lowest. The early farmhouse and barn are connected in one range, with the outbuildings positioned at a right angle to the rear. The later farmhouse serves as a crosswing to the right and both are two storeys high. The early farmhouse has a later central gabled porch and a single bay of altered windows on each side, along with an outshut at the rear. The later farmhouse has a symmetrical three-bay facade with a small central gable. The barn features large opposed elliptical arched cart entries, as well as an arrangement of ventilation slits and two square pitch-holes with rock-faced surrounds on the front. At the rear, the outbuildings create a courtyard with the back of the barn. Inside the early farmhouse, there are stop-chamfered beams.
