Description

21 and 23 St Helens Gate are an 18th-century building, formerly known as St Helen's Gate. The building has a hammer-dressed stone plinth and is largely constructed of red brick, most of which is rendered. The roof is covered with stone slate and is double pitched. It is two storeys high, with a brick band separating the floors. There are four ranges of casement windows; the ground-floor windows have depressed arched heads.
