Description
The walls and gates to the churchyard of All Hallows' Church date from the 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and feature coped tops. The gates to the east are late 19th century cast iron, designed in an elaborate style with Art Nouveau octails. The gates to the south are mid-19th century cast iron, very elaborate, and are supported by rusticated piers topped with ball finials. Located southwest of the church tower, the wall includes a plaque that was originally part of the Clerk's House, which was demolished in 1907. The plaque reads, "1765. Built by Mrs Jane Fenay For the Parish Clerk Who is not to sell any Ale Wine or Strong Liquor."
