Description
Nos. 89 and 91 on Brookroyd Lane is a house dating from 1708, although it has been altered over time. The building is constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with some parts rendered, and features quoins and a stone slate roof. The facade is symmetrical with two bays and includes a gabled rear wing.
The central doorway is chamfered with an arched head, inscribed with "T J F 1708". On either side of the doorway are enlarged 19th-century windows. The first floor has two 4-light double chamfered windows, each with two of their mullions removed. The left and right gables are rendered, with the right gable featuring a projecting chimney breast. The rear wing is also rendered, with rendered openings and a projecting chimney breast. There is an outshut at the rear with a catslide roof that has a blocked 3-light chamfered window.
