Description
Nos 14 and 15 on Holme Lane are two houses, with No 14 dating from the late 18th century and No 15 from the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with some quoins, and feature a cement render on the west gable. The roofs are covered with stone slates, and there are two cement-rendered chimneys that have a square string course and water tabling. Both houses are two storeys tall.
On the south elevation, No 14 has a ground floor that includes a one-light stone mullioned window with an extended head and sill, and a first floor with a four-light stone mullioned window that also has an extended sill. No 15 features a ground floor with a doorway that has a stone surround and a three-light stone mullioned window. Its first floor contains a four-light stone mullioned window and a two-light stone mullioned window.
The east elevation has a ground floor with a doorway that has a stone surround, which is partly blocked to form a window, as well as an extension that includes another doorway with a stone surround. The first floor features two modern windows. On the west elevation, there is a small window with a stone surround in the extension to No 14, and a modern extension to the north that adjoins a barn.
