Description

This is a group of three houses, numbered 35, 37, and 39, forming part of a terrace in Honley. The houses were built in 1793, as indicated by a datestone. They are constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins, and have stone slate roofs, although number 35 has a tiled roof. The south elevation shows that number 35 is set back slightly. Number 35 has a three-light window and a doorway on the ground floor, and a four-light window above. Number 37 has a five-light window and a doorway on the ground floor, and a seven-light window above. Number 39 has a four-light window and a doorway on the ground floor, and a six-light window above. All windows have stone mullions. The surrounds of the windows on number 37 have been rendered. A datestone above the doorway of number 37 reads 'H B A 1793'.
