Description
Thorpe House is a mid-19th century building located on Finthorpe Lane in Almondbury. The front is made of ashlar stone, while the sides are constructed from hammer-dressed stone. It features a pitched stone slate roof with coped gables supported by kneelers. The house has two storeys and five ranges of sash windows on the first floor, along with French casements on the ground floor. The entrance door is set in a stone frame and is flanked by Tuscan pilasters, topped with a moulded cornice. At the rear, there are two ranges of bipartite sashes with glazing bars, as well as a round-arched staircase window that also has glazing bars. Additionally, there are various office extensions at the rear of the building.
