Description

The Old Lock Up is a former detached lock up dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from hammer dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The building stands two storeys tall. On the north elevation, there is a large carriage doorway that has a massive stone lintel supported by rounded padstones. There are doorways on the east and south elevations, although the one on the south is blocked. The west elevation has a narrow slit opening with a vertical bar on the first floor.
