Description
The Vicarage is a large detached house built in the mid-19th century, featuring an ashlar front and a hipped stone slate roof with two large ashlar chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high with a three-bay symmetrical facade that includes a string course. The central door is framed by an architrave surround and a semi-circular fanlight with glazing bars, topped with a small cornice. On either side of the door are giant pilasters, and there are giant clasping pilasters at each corner of the facade. The ground floor has tall sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor features three single sash windows, all with ashlar panels below. The eaves cornice is deep and moulded. The giant pilasters extend around to the right side of the building. The left elevation includes a single-storey extension with a central gable topped by a cross finial and a modern garage door, along with two small round-arched windows that have traceried glazing bars.
