Description
Nos 71 and 73 on Brook Lane are early to mid 19th century weaver's houses built from hammer-dressed stone, featuring a pitched stone slate roof with coped gables and stone brackets. The building has three storeys, with the ground and first floors set back to earth.
On the southwest elevation, the ground floor has a central doorway with stone surrounds and tie-stones, flanked by two 3-light stone mullioned windows with slightly pronounced sills. The first floor also has two 3-light stone mullioned windows with slightly pronounced sills. The second floor features a single 12-light stone mullioned window with a continuous slightly pronounced sill.
The northeast elevation has been rebuilt, and the northwest elevation includes a modern two-storey extension.
