Description
Nos. 19 and 21 Thick Hollins Road are two weaver's houses that form part of a row. No. 19 has origins dating back to the early 18th century, while No. 21 is predominantly from the early to mid 19th century. The houses are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, with quoins at the ground and first floors of No. 19. They feature a stone slate roof with two ashlar stacks and one brick stack.
No. 19 includes a 4-light double chamfered window, although two of its mullions have been removed, and it has a 18th-century doorway on the ground floor. There is also a 3-light window on the first floor and a 4-light window on the second floor. No. 21 has a central doorway flanked by a 3-light window on each side, though these are partly obscured by a recent porch. On the first floor, there are two 3-light windows, and the second floor originally had a 10-light window, which now has the center three lights blocked.
