Description
The dwarf walls, railings, gatepiers, and gates to the Upper Independent Chapel date from around 1890. The structure features a low ashlar wall topped with coping. It is adorned with decorative cast iron railings that have ornamental finials. The central square gatepiers are made of ashlar and include round-headed sunk panels and pedimented caps topped with ball finials. There are double gates with decorative rails and a scrolled and crested top. Additionally, there is a second pair of gatepiers along the side wall, which have segmental pediments with carved foliage, and a single gate that matches the railings.
