Nos 6 and 8 New House is a house dating from 1741, now divided and part of a group of buildings. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with quoins and has a pitched stone slate roof featuring finials at the apex of each gable. The building has two storeys.
On the south gable, which is No 8, the ground floor has a 7-light stone mullioned window that is double chamfered and includes a king mullion. The first floor features an 8-light stone mullioned window, also double chamfered.
The west elevation has two 2-light stone mullioned windows on the first floor, one of which has quoins. The north gable, which is No 6, has a ground floor that originally contained a 6-light stone mullioned window (double chamfered). The first floor has a former 4-light stone mullioned window (double chamfered) with two mullions removed. The ground floor also includes an entrance with stone surrounds, while the first floor has one 2-light stone mullioned window.
