Description
Nos 9 and 10 New House are a pair of weaver's houses built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, with No 9 being slightly later. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone, featuring quoins on the west side, while the west gable is rendered. The houses have a pitched stone slate roof with coped gables and moulded footstones on the west gable. The buildings are two storeys high. On the south elevation, the ground floor has a central doorway with a stone surround and tie-stones, flanked by two 6-light stone mullioned windows with a double lintel. The first floor contains two 3-light stone mullioned windows and one 6-light stone mullioned window that has a King mullion. There are later extensions to the north.
