Description

This barn, located 10 meters to the northeast of Number 3 Heights in Ripponden, dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with ashlar quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has segmental arched cart entries with skewbacks and a 2-light flat faced mullioned window above. There are mistal doorways on either side, which have tie-stone jambs. The gables are coped and include moulded kneelers and rectangular ventilators. The barn is a prominent feature in the landscape.
