Description
This is a double-aisled barn located 10 meters southwest of Hoo Hole Farmhouse, dating from the late 16th century. It is constructed from large dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a broad gable that stands out in the landscape, with a mistal doorway that has a depressed Tudor arched lintel, as well as arched and chamfered rectangular ventilators. The gable is coped and includes kneelers. On the right-hand return wall, there is a similar doorway to the left of a 4-light window with arched lights, although it is missing two mullions. Neither of the return walls has cart entries. Inside, the barn features principal trusses with angle struts, and posts with curved braces supporting the tie-beam and arcade plate, spanning five bays.
