Description

This barn, located 20 meters northeast of Rodwell Head, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed from large hammer-dressed stone that has been watershot, and it features a stone slate roof. The barn has a segmental arched cart entry and a mistal door with a segmental arch above a quoined lintel. At the rear, there is an aisle with an oculus window and a gabled wing that is coped with kneelers. This wing includes a doorway with a quoined lintel and a chamfered surround, as well as a columbarium at the apex.
