Description
This is a terrace of cottages located at 4 to 8 Park Nook, dating from the late 18th century. The cottages are constructed from hammer-dressed stone with ashlar quoins and feature a stone slate roof. The front of the building is two stories high and has a continuous outshut at the rear. The eaves have a parapet with a continuous stone gutter. Each bay has a doorway with monolithic jambs. Cottages 4 and 5 have five-light flat-faced mullioned windows with overlapping heads, and similar windows above, all supported by a continuous lintel along the entire row, with overlapping sills. Cottages 6, 7, and 8 have lost two mullions from each window. Cottage 8 also features a solid light on each floor and a two-light mullioned window in the gable. The contemporary chimney stacks are rendered.
