Description
Exley Hall is a substantial traditional stone house dating from the 17th century. It has a stone roof with eaves and stands two storeys tall. The south front has been remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries and is rendered. The windows on this side are simple and framed in stone. The east front is irregular and has been partly altered, but it still features an arched doorway and two long mullioned windows on each floor. There is another doorway at the rear, and the western part of the building was rebuilt in the 18th century or later. Inside, the eastern room to the south retains incomplete 17th-century panelling and a moulded cross-beamed ceiling.
