Description

The Wakefield Road Bridge is a road bridge, likely built in the late 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed stone and features a single elliptical arch made of ashlar voussoirs. The bridge has an ashlar string course and weathered flush copings. The haunches of the arch end in battered piers. This bridge is part of the Halifax branch of the Calder and Hebble Navigation, which was completed in 1767.
