Description

The Rookery is a substantial stone house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is built against a hillside, with its main front facing the rear. The three-storey main facade has eaves and end gables, featuring four altered mullioned windows and an 18th-century staircase window. The road frontage is irregular and has been altered, but retains an arched doorway. The south return has two mullioned windows facing the rear. A less significant addition exists to the north. Internally, the house contains a modest 18th-century staircase with a wrought iron balustrade.
