Description

Dean House is a traditional stone house dated 1645, located on Skircoat Green. It is two storeys high, with the main (south) front now rendered and featuring eaves that lead to a stone roof. The house has an arched doorway with the date and initials "IML" above it. The ground floor includes seven and five-light windows that have continuous drip moulding and two carved labels. The upper floor has later five and six-light windows. On the east side, there is one original four-light window along with other later openings.
