Description

This is a terrace of three early to mid-19th century houses with underbuildings, located on Church Hill in Luddenden, near Sowerby Bridge. The buildings are constructed of coursed squared stone with a stone slate roof. They rise four storeys, with two-storey underbuildings that are built into the ground. Each house has one bay. The window openings have plain stone surrounds, and the windows feature flat-faced mullions. The front elevation east side has a doorway and an inserted garage door in each underbuilding. Above, on each floor, there is a five-light window, with the central light on the two upper floors being wider. There are plain gutter brackets supported on table-like features. A stack is located at the right end of each dwelling. The rear elevation is two storeys high; each upper dwelling has a door to the right of a single-light window, and two two-light windows above. The right gable has a watershot stone finish.
