Description

This barn dates to 1794, as indicated by the initials "JSS" and the date inscribed on it. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a stone slate roof. The barn is symmetrical and features quoins. There are doorways at each end, each with monolithic jambs and square pitch holes above. It has opposed cart entries with elliptical heads and composite jambs, with the eastern keystone bearing an inscription. The interior consists of seven bays and has queen post trusses.
