Description
West Rodwell End is a pair of cottages from the mid-18th century, currently vacant, located attached to a ruined chapel. The building features large dressed stone on the east side, watershot stone on the north, and coursed rubble on the west. It is 1½ storeys high with an east front consisting of two cells. The door entry on the left has a straight lintel. Each cell includes a three-light chamfered mullioned window, where the sill has been lowered and a mullion removed to create two large lights. Above these windows are eaves dormers with square windows that have chamfered surrounds. The roof is topped with two dressed stacks at the ridge. The north gable displays a chamfered mullioned window with two lights, alongside a three-light window on the first floor, both of which lack a central mullion. The rear of the building shows that the roof has been raised by two courses and retains sunken cellars as low outshuts.
