Description

A terrace of twelve single-cell cottages, numbered 1-19, dated 1848, located in Hebden Bridge. The cottages are constructed of hammerdressed stone with a stone slate roof. Most are two storeys high, although numbers 1 and 3 have three storeys. Each cottage features a doorway with a sill tie to the left of a two-light flat-faced mullioned window, set within plain stone surrounds. The windows retain their original 12-paned glazing, with one sashed light and one fixed light, and this pattern is consistent on the first and second floors. There are nine stacks on the ridge. It is notable that the terrace retains its original window glazing, a relatively uncommon feature in this area.
