Description

The war memorial in Duffy's Park, dated 1922 and altered in 1947, is constructed of ashlar. It features a tapered rectangular stone pier that stands on three shallow steps and a chamfered plinth. The memorial includes inscriptions commemorating both World Wars, with a head plaque added to honor the 1939-45 war. Originally located in Belle Vue Park, it was moved to its current site around 1980.
