Description

The Congregational Sunday School, originally a chapel, is a substantial building dating from 1772. It is constructed of red brick with painted stone dressings and features two tiers of windows, with the upper ones having arched heads. The entrance includes a pedimented Doric doorway flanked by engaged columns. A high panelled parapet with a pediment crowns the structure. The front has five windows that continue around the returns, and the roof has eaves. A three-storey addition at the rear is not included in this description. The interior has been mostly altered and the building was derelict at the time of inspection.
