Description
No. 44 Chapel Street is a factory or warehouse block built around 1880. It features a plain and functional design, with a high number of stone-linted windows compared to the wall area. The building is constructed from sandstone "brick" and has three stories. It includes six-paned windows and has a chamfered corner at Scoresby Street, with the top floor corbelled out at a right angle. There is also an oculus light on the north gable. This building is noted as an example of the late phase of industrial development in the Little Germany precinct.
