Description
The railings, gates, and piers at the front of the Congregational Church in Saltaire were built around 1860-1870, likely designed by Lockwood and Mawson for Titus Salt. They feature a pair of round ashlar piers topped with pedestals and caps. The square, cast-iron railings are arcaded and curve inward toward the central iron gates, which are supported by iron piers with ball finials. This structure is included for its group value and is part of the Saltaire model village.
