Description
Nos 75 and 77 on Main Street in Haworth are a pair of houses with shops, dated 1854. They are built of ashlar with a stone slate roof and consist of two storeys, featuring two first-floor windows each. The buildings have a plinth. Each house has a door with an overlight to the right; No 75 has a 20th-century glazed door, while No 77 has a boarded double door. To the left of each house is a large shop window; No 75's window has glazing bars, and No 77's is a 20th-century bow window. Classical pilasters flank the doors and support an entablature with a dentilled cornice that breaks forward over the pilasters. On the first floor, there is a central datestone flanked by 20th-century windows with stone lintels and a continuous cill band. The eaves are stepped and modillioned, and there is a 20th-century dormer on No 77. Both buildings have corniced end stacks.
