Description
Nos 6, 8, and 10 Lodge Street are three cottages built in the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed millstone grit and topped with a stone slate roof. The cottages have a gable front and rise to three storeys with two bays. The corners are accentuated with quoins. The windows are flat-faced mullioned types set in flush stone surrounds with projecting cills. The doors also feature flush stone surrounds, with one interrupted jamb.
On the ground floor, no 10, located on the left, has a four-panel door on the left and a 20th-century window on the right. No 8 has a plank door on the right and a window, which was originally a two-light window, on the left. There are two single-light windows on the first and second floors. The building features shaped kneelers with ball finials and ashlar coping. On the right side, there is a stone staircase with an iron baluster leading up to a six-panel door of no 6. Above this door, there is a blocked door with a projecting landing stone.
