Description
No 73 on Main Street in Haworth is a house with a shop, built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed millstone grit with ashlar dressings and has a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and a cellar, featuring two first-floor windows. Notable architectural details include quoins and a chamfered plinth.
To the right, there are steps leading to a six-panel door set in a chamfered, quoined surround, topped by a two-light overlight with rounded top corners. The door is supported by consoles that hold up a cornice with a shaped blocking course. On the left side, there is a two-light shop window, also with rounded top corners, set in a chamfered, quoined surround. This window features a corbelled, moulded cill and a hood mould.
On the first floor, there is a cill band and two segment-headed windows, each in chamfered, quoined surrounds with corbelled moulded cills and hood moulds. The building is topped with a dentilled cornice and has a corniced end stack on the left side.
