Description
This listing describes a pair of rows of terraced houses located at 63-77 Highgate Road, built around 1800 to 1830. The houses are constructed from sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings and feature stone slate roofs and stone stacks. They are two stories high and have sill bands on both floors. The street-facing side includes two-light square mullion windows, some of which have been altered, all set in flush ashlar surrounds. The doorways are single and also have similar surrounds. These buildings are included for their group value, as they are part of the core of the old hamlet of Old Dolphin, along with Wharton Square and Ackroyd Square behind them.
