Description

Mount Stead Cottage is a building that likely dates from the 18th century. It has one and a half storeys and is constructed of dressed stone. The south gable features kneelers, and the roof is made of stone slabs. On the west side, there is a door and a right-hand sash window with glazing bars, both framed with slab surrounds. The south gable end has a two-light upper window with a slab mullion, and below it are three small windows with slab sides. There is also a lean-to extension on the east side, situated at the angle with this extension.
