Description
Saxon Lodge is a mid-19th century building located on Ilkley Road in Burley in Wharfedale. It is one and a half storeys tall and constructed from coursed, roughly squared stone. The slate roof features deeply projecting eaves supported by elongated S-brackets. There is a one-storey projection facing the road, which includes a five-light bay window with latticed glazing bars and a dentilled cornice above. A similar one-storey projection is found at the rear of the building. On the west side, there are two sash windows with glazing bars and slab surrounds, with a doorway situated between them, topped by a bracketed straight moulded hood.
