Description
The United Reformed Church, built in 1868 by J P Pritchett, is a Grade II listed building located on The Grove in Ilkley. It is designed in a generally Early English style, constructed from coursed, squared rubble with slate roofs. The church features a nave and aisles that align with the street frontage, with the east end (ritual west) facing Riddings Road. At either end, there are 5-light Decorated windows. The aisles are formed by four gables, each crested, with 2-light windows, and the westernmost gable is larger than the others. A tower and spire rise above a projecting porch at the north-east corner, and there is an octagonal projection at the south-east. The spire is a prominent feature of Ilkley, visible from many locations.
