Description
Lower Penny Hill Farmhouse, along with the adjoining stable and barn to the south, is a building dated 1840 on the window head, although it has origins from the late 18th century. The farmhouse is two stories high and constructed from sandstone "brick" with flush quoins. The barn and stables, which date from around 1840, project as a south wing and feature stone slate roofs. The farmhouse has a three-bay front with a break on the left side. It includes three-light square mullion windows set in squared surrounds, with a single light window above a squared jamb doorway.
