Description

The former barn, dating from the 17th century, is located adjacent to Turnpike Farmhouse to the east in Burley in Wharfedale. It is of similar scale to the farmhouse but is set back slightly. The building has been converted into a two-storey residential space. It is constructed from coursed, squared rubble and features a slab roof. On the north side, there is a segmental arch that once served as the barn door, along with a few original openings on the ground floor. An outbuilding to the southeast, which was previously dated 1708, has undergone significant alterations and is not included in this listing.
