Description
Plane Tree Farm House is a large farmhouse dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is two storeys high and constructed of dressed stone with a slab roof featuring kneelers. The north front, which faces the road, is characteristic of the 18th century and has regular features. It includes sash windows with glazing bars and small panes arranged as follows: a five-light window, a one-light window, another one-light window, and a three-light window. The central door is made up of six panels, with the top two being glazed. All openings are framed with moulded architraves, and there are wide-spaced gutter-blocks. The south front features a three-light 17th-century mullioned window above and below, with one mullion removed, alongside an 18th-century flush sash window with glazing bars and other openings, including a 17th-century doorway.
