Description
Nos 5 and 7 on St Johns Close is a house, later used as an office, dated 1646. It is constructed from rubble brought to course and has a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys high and consists of two cells. The windows are mostly double-chamfered mullioned windows, many of which lack their mullions. The ground floor features four-light and three-light windows with hoodmoulds and straight returns, while the first floor has two three-light windows. The central doorway has composite jambs, a dated lintel, and a broad chamfered surround. There is a stack on the ridge. At the rear, there is a two-light window on the ground floor and two three-light windows on the first floor, along with an inserted doorway to the right that has tie-stone jambs.
