Description

The gates and gate piers to Lister Park, located on North Park Road, were built around 1902 to 1904 and are designed in a fine early 18th-century style. These wrought iron carriage gates and pedestrian gates were likely constructed at the same time as Cartwright Hall and the 1904 Bradford Exhibition. The tall, panelled gate piers are capped with large urns, and the design is attributed to J W Simpson and M Allen.
