Description
Manningham Old Manor House comprises a mid-17th century manor house, of which only part of the hall range and the north cross wing remain. The building is constructed of coursed gritstone, with the front apparently refaced in the late 18th century using sandstone "bricks", flush quoins, and saddlestones to the gable ends. The cross wing features long, shaped kneelers and shaped finials. A gabled stone dormer with a finial is present on the hall. The hall has a three-light, large, chamfered mullion window with a drip mould, while the wing features two-light, chamfered mullion windows with drip moulds. The rear gable of the wing includes two large mullion and transom windows, one featuring heraldic stained glass. The interior was entirely refurbished around 1900 and the beams were subsequently plastered over.
