Description
No 4 Vincent Street is a warehouse and office building dated 1893. It is four storeys high, constructed of sandstone "brick" with ashlar dressings. The building features broad window bays on both fronts, with plain lintels on the ground floor and cornices on the upper floors. The corners are splayed on the ground and first floors, while the top two storeys have bowed out corners that resemble turrets, supported by oriel bases. There is a large bracket cornice below the attic storey. On Vincent Street, the attic is mansarded between the towers. The corner doorway has ashlar dressing, and there is a round-headed doorway on Vincent Street topped with a sharper segmental pediment, creating an effective corner treatment.
