Description
The Commercial Inn is a public house built around 1900, notable for its design associated with Webster's Brewery. The building features a late 17th century Mannerist classical style, with a painted stone façade. The ground floor is constructed from rough dressed coursed stonework, while the first floor is defined by squat Roman Ionic pilasters that separate three bays. The windows are framed with Gibbs surrounds, and there is an architrave doorcase topped with a garland. The structure is completed with a bracketed cornice and a parapet.
