Description
This late 18th-century barn, built around 1776, is located adjacent to the east end of No 293 on Apperley Road in Apperley Bridge. It was originally used for overnight stabling of barge horses that worked on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The barn is constructed from stone "bricks" with flush quoins and features a gable end roof covered with stone slates.
