Description
The retaining walls, gates, and shoot of Dobson Locks on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal date from around 1800 to 1814. The structure features two finely crafted stone locks with a paved side shoot. The second rise is characterized by battered swept masonry facing, and steps have been cut into each facing. Both the iron and timber gates remain intact.
